Leica Camera have announced a Limited Edition version of their Monochrom M camera, the M-HCB, named after the famous Leica user Henri Cartier Bresson.

The camera will come in a set complete with a 50mm Summicron, leather case and a Trilby hat, similar to the one worn by Cartier Bresson when he worked the streets with his Leica M3. The hat will be available in one size fits all and will carry a unique Leica ‘M-HCB’ label.

The camera will feature a special distressed chrome finish. Each piece will be unique and prematurely aged to look like it has had 100 years of use. The top and bottom plates will bear unique marks, scratches and dents, as well as ‘brassing’ to show the underlying brass metal in places. The Summicron lens will also have the aged treatment, although the optics will be unmarked.

Available to order through Leica Boutique stores now, priced €22,987 + taxes (or local equivalent).
