EU Kodachrome processing - slow or what?

Clearly, the entire stock of Kodachrome in Europe has been exposed in the last month and has been sent to Switzerland before the plant closes next month. They must be busy beavers over there.

My very last roll of K200 ever is now 2 weeks out of the country and counting...

7dayshop turn E6 round in 5 days at the moment, which isn't so bad.

I sent in a couple of 200`s in May. Exactly 7 days Norway-Switzerland-Norway...

I am still surprised that some are still using Kodachrome 200, I have found it very grainy
and hopeless for night exposures.

I get my E6 slides processed in 90 minutes down here in Melbourne, I go straight to the Pro Lab, as I always drop and pick up my slides.(for those Australians living in Melbourne it's (Prism) in North Melbourne) Tram 57 or 59 will stop outside or of course you can use your own car.)

You should try Kodak E100G It's looks very nice with Leica Lenses.

Let's not turn this into a religious conflict as regards the choice of film. I (we) do use the E100G and E100WG as well as a host of other slide film, which we are still able to get even after the drastic reduction in sales of film, thanky you very much Fuji and Kodak.

I also use Fuji slide film to which I have been using since 1986.
I tend to alternate between the two and always will.

During winter it's Kodak, and summer it's Fuji.

Just to say that two friends of mine had some Kodachrome "disappear" after posting from the UK. (In each case they posted two return packages - and in each case one arrived right away in Switzerland, and the other did not! Kodak swore blind that the missing ones had never arrived.) They did eventually turn up at Switzerland, and were processed promptly and returned. So it may well be the mail somewhere or other.

Grrr this is the one major issue I have with Kodachrome. I don't trust people who work in post offices and I don't trust people who work in mail in- and mail out departments. So far I have never lost a Kodacrhome film, but I always worry when I send it away.
