Is there anybody who knows what font is used by Leica? I mean the font you see on top of this forum: 'Leica Camera User Forum'. I am curious...

Geert,

I can't find the font Leica really use - it may not actually be a font as such, it could be specially drawn - but Eurostile Bold with some extra spacing between the characters, say 4 points for 28 point type, is quite close.

Thank you, JR. There are several fonts that come close, but I can't find the exact font. I think it is special made for Leica. Other fonts that come close are Square, Isonorm, Chevin, Neutraliser,... But there is always something that doesn't fit. Especially in the nummerics. Like 4 and 6.

I want to set up a site with images made with a Leica. For the buttons to choose a category I like to use the Leica-font...

looks like a proprietary font. if you really wanted to, you can redraw the characters from a scan and make a font with fontlab.
