Default Warmtone Paper

Hello, I would to take picture in black and white, usually I used to ask for my print fibre base quality paper. I've tried the warmtone paper which is a fibre base quality one from Ilford. I 'm fond of this kind of paper.
Do you think it is good for reportage , photojournalism, portrait an so on?
Thanks awfully
Annibale

Default Re: Warmtone Paper

The ilford warmtone is my choice for my documentary work. I'm currently printing 70 larfe prints for two museum exhibitions that will travel the US and have selected the Ilford VC Warmtone FB and doing a slight warming selenium tone. It's a stunning paper for documentary work, even cold subject matter. I recently tried the Oriental FB warmtone VC and feel it's a little more open grade for grade in the highlights and about the same printing speed as the Ilford. The color is a very close match too with a very slightly whiter base but only very slightly different. Either paper is excellent. I might add that I use LPD developer 1:2 and rally love the look over dektol or selectol.
