Description: SALE PENDING ON THIS LENS

Serial number: 9740746
Items included: All original packaging and accessories, including original retail receipt. Also includes optional LH-3 vented hood ($75 value).

I purchased this lens new on October 1st, and used it about 5 times. It's in like-new condition, and includes the original receipt. I'm also including the optional LH-3 vented hood, which allows more visibility through the viewfinder on the M8. The original hood and cap are also included. This CV lens is the fastest 35mm focal length available for the M8, and is very nice for low-light photography. The lens comes with a built-in M mount, and is ready for use on M bodies. The only reason I'm selling this lens is that it's a bit too large for my taste, so I tend to use the smaller Leica 50 Lux instead.

Yes, the lens is for sale. It has a built-in M mount (no adapter needed), so it will mount fine on an M8. However, it is not 6-bit coded, so the camera won't be able to report the lens in the EXIF data.

Then lens can be 6-bit coded, using the code for the Leica 35 Lux (f1.4). There are a few folks around who will machine the "grooves" in the mount, and then you use black and white paint to create the proper codes. You can do a search (google) to learn more about this. I have always had my lenses coded directly by Leica, which is why I haven't had this one done yet (they will only code their own lenses).

John Milich can mill the lens for you at a very reasonable price. He can be reached via e-mail (jm at milich dot com). Sent all of my M-mount CV lenses his way for coding pits.
