Mark,

I was there a couple of months ago and stood in exactly the same spot as you did. I'll see if I can dig up the shots and attach them later!

mark -

Excellent play of shapes, detail and crops. #1 could use some reprocessing for more highlight detail.

Default AW: A memorial in black, white, and gray

all shots are (very) good!
#4 is my favorite - I would try to take the same perspective!
What equipment/film used with #4?
proceed as well

Marco - I'd love to see your pics. Post them in this the thread!
Stuart - I sacrificed some detail in the shadows in favor higher contrast on this frame; it was getting to be pretty cloudy by the time I took this but I wanted some detail in the sky so . . .
Hodimeyer - thanks for your feedback. I took #4 with my MP, 90mm Summicron ASPH, recorded on Fuji Acros 100, exposed at ISO 80, and developed in Rodinal 1+50 for 11.5 minutes. I exposed for the shadows as much as I could without blowing out the highlights. I also cropped the frame somewhat to deliver what you see.

Mark,

We could start a new series: everybody who's got a photo of this memorial should enter!

Regards,

Marco
