Paga: Nicely captured. A difficult angle to get this modern monolith in one picture. You were near my home, we could of had coffee together. Maybe next time.

Thank you all for the feedback. The secret is: I actually took 3 overlapping vertical shots with my M8 + 35ASPH and then I experimented with the merge function in CS3 (which works quite nicely as long as you keep the exposure the same). A moment before that, I did the same thing with the Flatiron building (which is nearby toward the right side of the picture) but the result was much less good, mostly because of the boring sky that day (it was not a very clear day).
William, I am always up for a cup of coffee to exchange photo thoughts, although my favorite spot in that area is that fantastic restaurant across the little park on Madison (I think it is simply called "11 Madison"). We should go there for lunch and bring our leicas, there are some nice shots to be made inside while enjoying a great meal. ![]() |
