Default Chicago Loop at dusk

I have been playing around with Nik's Silver Efex plugin for PS, reworking some old files that scream to be BW
here is one I like, though I hated to sacrifice the beautiful dusk sky I captured

to see the color from which this was converted (and that lovely sky) go to
B&W Photo Gallery by Artichoke Vinagrette at pbase.com along with a larger version & shooting information
C/C always welcome

Artichoke,
only a few block from my old apt...I can't say I prefer one above the other, both versions are pleasing.

ahhh. I am familiar with this is well. I still see it everyday!
Good framing.
I like the dusk feel to it enhanced by the street lamps. I almost missed the train in the shot!

Very nice shot. I love Chicago. Trump Tower looks nearly topped out?

Arthur -

Really lovely in composition, detail, depth and tonal range. Aren't you a bit due north of home?

Great shot, the street lights really draw your eye into the photo.

Rotes Gesicht thanks all

I ventured north for a professional meeting in Chicago & took an evening off to visit with an old friend who took me on a photography jaunt through the Loop area
I had to take one of the eponymous elevated rail & waited not only for the blue hour, but also for a train to come by
thanks all for you kind words
btw, the correct link for a color version & larger size/shooting information is B&W Photo Gallery by Artichoke Vinagrette at pbase.com

Default thanks, Brian

you had to search for that color version as the gallery has had additions to it, so the original link is off by one page
here is the color version ...it was painful for me to sacrifice that dusk sky for the BW version

the correct link to larger versions is here B&W Photo Gallery by Artichoke Vinagrette at pbase.com
