Louis this image has been itching my 'arris for the last 24 hours but have just worked out what it is. Wrong angle? I think it would have been better head on and closer - especially as you were using the CV12.
It's a wonderful building but the mast and street furniture tend to dominate. This could be your new Ampthill... ![]()

Andy
Thanks for taking the time for some constructive criticism. You comments are well worth considering. I was trying to be a bit ironical given what I have always felt is an appalling decision by the powers that be to locate a hideous comms tower in the midst of a beautifully preserved early Victorian village (where else in the country would it be allowed?). I agree, there is too much road and it is definitely worth trying again with more building and less surrounding. I wouldn't mind taking a power saw to the hideous street sign as well! Thanks again Louis

I have to agree with the problem being the angle you chose to take this
the sign could be cloned out (less noise than a power saw, but perhaps not as satisfying) with some work, but I think a more straight on approach the way to go as Andy pointed out of course you will have to wait for another sky like that, which is beautifully rendered ...did you enhance this or was it captured by the CV12 ...my CV15 captures lovely skies & I am beginning to think this a virtue of CV ultra wide angle lenses Last edited by Artichoke : 07/22/08 at 06:14 AM. |

Thanks for the comment. Hadn't thought about cloning. Might be worth trying. I did use the shadow/highlight function in CS3 to boost th sky but all day on Saturday there were wonderful broken cloud skies like this so nature did most of the job for me. Having said that the CV12 is even more contrasty than my CV15. They are excellent lenses for the price, imho. LouisB
