Hi Brian,
Interesting shots, the first one is my favorite, I'm a D2 user also, and I notice the blandness of the colors, I struggle with the same problem...what were the camera setting on the contrast and saturation? Did you do any post processing? Thanks for sharing. Ed. ![]() .

Ed,
Thanks for the comments. I enjoy the contrast in the 2nd one between the old city wall and the new building under construction, but maybe I"ll take another shot at cropping to emphasise this a bit. I used Lightroom for the post- processing and as these were early shots while I was getting more used to the D2, I can't now recall what the camera settings were other than they were more likely to be standard or low. I tend to use standard now, and always ISO100. Personally I don't find the D2 colours bland except possibly in cloudy weather. But I"ll play around a bit more and see what I find.

Following on from that Ed, I've increase the saturation and contrast on the two photos and re-cropped the second one. IMHO the more saturated first photo is less true to the 'real' colours of the red and blue vents but that's just my view.
Please compare with original posting! Revised Airvents: 020506-11.46.28revised.jpg Revised "Old vs. New" 020506-11.43.54revised.jpg
