Default What was and what will be.

A once-thriving pub lies in decay; another faceless office building goes up.
Wilmslow, Cheshire UK.

What is it, 40 pubs close every week in the UK?

Just the changing lifestyle, I'm afraid.

That doesn't make it OK though does it? I'm not a great fan of the "it's inevitable - it's change" argument. Much overused by politicians and CEO's to justify what's to their benefit.

I've drunk (probably been drunk!) in this pub when I wor a lad. I had a friend who worked behind the bar before he transferred to the King William where the beer was better!
