Default fine series

that prompted me to learn more about the Turin Mole
apparently this was originally designed to be a synagogue
I particularly enjoyed seeing the view from above, looking down the cupola
thanks for sharing this fascinating building with us
do you know why it is called La Mole?

Thanks Guys,
thanks David, Arthur, Amado & Henry. It's such A joy to make pictures of my city and to have the opportunity to share!

for Arthur:
You're right in your brief history of the monument, the name Mole is anyway linked to its dimension.
In italian mole is a word that means "enormous size", while antnoelliana is due to his architecht Alessandro Antonelli.

Best Regards!

Once again you prove to us that you have a wonderful eye for composition, line and depth. A lovely series.

Stuart, Ivan and Sam: really thanks.

Never found a bigger joy in my "photographic life" than showing my pictures to this forum members!
Every time there's so much to learn!

@Azzo:
Yes Ivan, this is why they call it "il derby della mole"... i guess you're such interested, isn't it?
But were do you live?
I always tought you were a kind of neighbor.
then again, Italians love to name various derby:
Milan: derby della madonnina (because of the Madonna statue on top of the Dome")Milan/Inter.
Genova: derby della lanterna (because of the lighthouse simble of the city) Genoa/Sampdoria.
and then there is the "derby d'Italia" between INTER and JUVENTUS (becasue they are the most followed teams in Italy)

But maybe you already know this!

Thanks again guys,

Best wishes

Maurizio

Maurizio,

Beautiful work...well crafted in all respects. Can you tell me what you were shooting with and how these were captured?

Best regards,

Bob

Thanks Andy and thanks Bob!
I Tell what i used to shoot these... but i don't know what you mean for "how"?
If you mean tripod or handheld the latter is how i did, for what that concern lenses here is the order:

#1,#5,#6,#7 90 elmarit-M (current version)
#2 50 elmarit (current version collaps,)
#3 28 elmarit-M ASPH
#4 WATE at 16mm
#8 35 lux asph
#9 28 summicron

all pictures taken with M8.
Usually when i need to make architecture pictures i fill my bag whit my sharpest lenses:
i.e. 50elmarit, 90elmarit-M, 28 elmarit ASPH and CV12, while i usually take the 35lux ASPH as my one-lens to go for every situation.

Hope this help

Best Regards

Maurizio

Thanks for the info. I was just interested in what camera/lenses you used. Your work is excellent.

EXCELLENT WORK!

A Slow film speed or ISO works well for fine detail especially on buildings.
I would like to know what you used?

Thanks Dave,
I should check well but they should be all 320 ISO except for the last picture which is 640 ISO.
I find M8's 320 ISO the best compromise to suite B/W workswith Architecture.

Best Regards
