Alexis de Chateauneuf (1845-1847), latest renovation by Alk Arwed Friedrichsen (2010-12) to get it back closer to the original concept.

Chateauneuf's concept of faux-Renaissance is a bit special, but due to the age of the building, we can disregard it. :)

 

The tower was initially used to carry a semaphor, an optical telegraph, which was made redundant by the electrical telegraph.
