Cab driver refreshment hut, circa 1900, resited from Leicester Square to the northwest corner of Russel Square. Introduced by a charity aimed at convincing cabbies they should drink tea rather then gin to refresh themselves while working.
This one does still function, or it did as recently as 4 years ago when I regularly took a cuppa between lectures at the nearby Institute or Education. R-D1 cron50 iso 200 f/8 1/125 EPSN2758-Edit.jpg

Keith
You really made me laugh with your response. A few months back I was photographing in Grays Inn Road when a cabby stopped beside me and we had a nice conversation about digital rangefinders and M8s. I wonder if he is a member of the forum? LouisB
