Advertisement Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Hi stuny, Take a look here Some details of the Capitol building, Washington DC. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jdlaing Posted April 10, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 10, 2014 Excellent. The clarity is great!

euston Posted April 10, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 10, 2014 When you say details, Stuart, you’re not kidding. The clarity of the detail in these images is extraordinary. A most interesting set.
John Z. Goriup Posted April 10, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 10, 2014 Stuart, very well seen, framed and presented. I'm curious, what focal length lens was used, and where were you standing when you shot these, please. JZG
stuny Posted April 10, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted April 10, 2014 John, Paul & Euston - Thank you. John - Please see the image below for approximately where we were standing, though it might have been farther away. This is the "front" of the capitol, and directly across the street are the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court (One tourist asked us if the Supreme Court building was the White House). I was using the V Lux 4 that Barbara gave me in December 2012. Since then, except for underwater photos, it's the only camera of my six I've used. The tightest image above (Washington chopping the cherry tree) was at near full zoom, which if at full zoom would be the 35 MM equivalent to 600 MM. The others were considerably less "zoomed." Louis Posted April 10, 2014 Share #7 Posted April 10, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Stuart, these shots are really stunning! The details are amazing, I am glad you had this beautiful blue sky during your visit! I must go to DC one of these days before the blossoms are gone! I am glad you gave some information about the camera and the lens! Since I am in LUF, I am unable to see any EXIF! I don't know if I have to change any setting in my LUF account, or in my Chrome browser! Although I never had any problem with the other site I was using before?!... I always found EXIF to be very important and useful!
