John -

Somehow this has a very intimate feel to to -- Well captured. I also very much like the light - walls, floor & glass.

Very good control of exposure here, John.

My next door neighbour used to be Canon at Chester Cathedral, so I do feel some very tenuous connection with the place - but, I have yet to take a decent shot.

I find the local sandstone to be a bit oppresive, but you have captured it very well here. Nice one.

You've caught a real feeling of tranquility in the shot. The balance between light and contrast is exceptional, imho.

After seeing your picture, I wish I could go sit in that chapel at this very minute . It looks like a great place to go sit in quiet and slowly enter the Presence.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Wilfredo, yes it was very peaceful. Somehow most of the people wandering around the cathedral seemed to pass it by.

John:

I think this is like the photographic experience. I am something of a contemplative photographer, seeing things most people pass by. I think many of us can relate to this. I find that tourists in a cathedral often rush through the experience, taking a few snaps, and moving on to the next stop, sadly taking little in.
