Default Rye Rooftops

This was taken from the top of St Mary's church in Rye, England, on a glorious October day. I used my R6, 180 f3.4 Apo Telyt and Velvia 100.

Daumen hoch Re: Rye Rooftops

I like the shot, but the compression here is just too severe. Lots of great detail was lost along the way to get it "web ready".

Thanks for sharing

Regards, Leicamann

I actually like the compression. I feel it one of those subjects that a long lens makes where it would have been a little more ordinary without it.

Thanks Mike, but I think Mr Mead was speaking of the file compression as distinct from the optical compression inherent in telephoto lenses. I may be wrong, but that's the way I read his post.

Ian -

Very effective and appealing due to the warm light, similar, complimentary colors and complexity.
