Sometimes the drop-down box doesn't work on Safari on the Mac either.
Andreas is aware of this problem.

As far as the Mac safari goes, the latest software updates last week approx, (to address stablity issues) seems to have helped quite a bit. The new open safari window is also neat with the last half dozen visited on the open page, and I seem to be able to drag tabbed pages to other open windows. I didnt think you could even drag the tabs round on the older one? Anyway it isnt crashing out every ten minutes in here like it was.

...my Mac Safari has become somewhat unstable since the last update (c. last week). The browser now crashes religiously (without warning) on a daily basis whilst performing basic everyday operations. Sort it out, Apple.

My Safari is 99% rock solid, and works with far more sites than the IE7 browser in the office
it's just that sometimes the drop downs on this site don't work. Although i've nit noticed it do it since v4
