The number of threads visible on a page?

I can't seem to get the forum to display more than 22 (yes 22 not 20) threads per page view for me. It is very annoying as when there is a lot of traffic a thread can easily find itself in 23rd position and thus invisible to me. Unless I go onto the next page - which of course I always forget to do.

I've tried setting the option that I think should govern this.....

...but it doesn't work for me. Neither in Safari 3.0.3, nor Firefox 2.0.0.6 on Mac 10.4.10

Has anyone else found a workaround?

Now I see that setting relates to the number of posts in a thread. Not the number of threads in a page. Does anyone know how to define the latter?

As far as i know, you can't change the number of visible threads, only the posts within the thread.

Fair enough. Thanks for letting me know.

Shame really, because as it gets busy posts drop onto the second page very quickly and soon get forgotten. In the "old days" one could scroll down through days' of post with the mere flick of a scroll wheel.
