New Rule about Linking External Images Effective

By a technical extension today we have set effective the limitation regarding the inclusion of external images via the IMG tags.

 

External images included by the IMG tag now will show up only as link, except they come from these domains we trust:

 

- Flickr

- fotocommunity (German community)

- Apple's me.com

- Google Picasa

- Leica Camera Websites

- Leica Forum Album images

- SmugMug

 

If you have more suggestions for trustworthy sources, please send them via PM.

Please understand we are not going to discuss this in public which sources we acceot.

 

This change of rule also applies to images linked in older threads. They still might show up as old versions are in our cache but they will disappear.

 

Important:

If images are linked from the trusted sources that violate the forum rules (dimensions > 960px, file size > 300 kB) we will have to delete them.
