Any chance that the Preview Post can be made to match the actual post. I find the width alignment and stuff seems different when I post, so sometimes when answering a thread one has to edit or delete, then go resample the images make adjustments and post again.
Also, in the old forum one could title an image and it would display when you hovered the cursor. It was cute to use sometimes. I find the Attached Images that remains in place after the image has loaded distracting. this.JPG I dont mind the adverts. You guys do a lot of work so we users can stroll through the site without a care like we own the joint. |

Not sure what the Preview issue is, Rob. I've never noticed a problem.
With regards to the title of the image displaying, what OS and browser are you using? On this XP / IE6 machine, a hover reveals the title of the image ("this.jpg" for example ). I can't recall whether the same happens on my Macs at home - I will check tonight with both Safari and Firefox. Finally, the adverts help to allow Andreas to provide the playground and without them, we'd be a swing or a roundabout short of a good time.

Rob,
I get the same hover-over behaviour on the Mac using Safari that Andy describes on the PC. I do seem to recall that it doesn't show any details on some images though. If you set your "Miscellaneous Options" to "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" you shouldn't be bothered with the "Attached Images" legend on your posts. Of course, if others don't do this, you'll still see it on theirs. |

Preview doesnt have this Author column width, so the preview is as wide at the Leica banner.
and3.jpg And if I hover the cursor all I get is inernet explorer options icons box. Am on XPpro / IE6. The old site had an alternative image title box I think. and.JPG Thanks John. Had seen that before but figured it was like the and2.jpg command line, I had never tried deleting it. Last edited by rob_x2004 : 12/13/06 at 01:18 AM. |
