I won't shoot you, Pascal, but Leica's statement doesn't ring true. Many modern DSLRs (Nikon D2X, D2Hs, D200, D80, all Canons) use dichroic filters. I've never seen a trace of flare related to the filter on my D2X or D200. And I know what to look for
