I have had a lot on my mind since I was five, and I forget!
I have discovered that E means "Einschrauben" and (screw in) E39 would refer to the 39 mm diameter... Is the measurement of 39 mm across the visible glass or outside threads...does anyone know.?
I have not managed to find a list of lenses (serial nos) vis a vis filter sizes for M series lenses. Anyone have a link?
Above I note there are 3 separate filter sizes for 90 mm (f2) Summicron (old type..pre Apro) and I am unsure which refers to my lens (S/No 2659903 ..made in Canada)
