Re: Sandisk Extreme IV cards

Welcome to the Forum!
SanDisk's cards labeled SD are SD compatible, and their cards labeled SDHC are SDHC compatible.
I don't think the M8's buffer has the throughput to do continuous shooting no matter how fast the card.
I think it was Bill Parsons who did some speed comparison tests on a couple different brands and speeds of cards, but there isn't a full comparison chart on using various cards with the M8. That's something maybe the forum should look into. (You can probably find Bill's reports with the Forum's search function.)
The only comment on speed I can make is that cards and cameras are both getting bigger and faster. That is, even though an M8 can't utilize the speed of the newest cards, the M9 or M10 will be able to do so. So I try to buy something faster than my current equipment needs, so that I won't be too far behind the curve next time. OTOH, the fastest available cards are often priced at a premium over the medium-speed ones, so I don't usually buy the newest and biggest and fastest.
