I'm the one who posted about the Luigi case in dpreview...also put up that post here (just a few threads down).

I am getting the optional tripod screw with my case...50 Euro upgrade charge. Luigi has to specially make some new screws that are smaller to fit the bottom of the D-LUX 4 case. And yes...they are totally recessed and quite clean looking.
