Ausrufezeichen Spanish Photographers

This new thread is about the Spanish photographers.
In this moment, in Madrid, two great exhibitions dedicated to Alberto García Alix and Isabel Muñoz. They both are impressive.

García Alix was awarded with the National Prize of Photography in 1999. He was a witness of the period known as "La Movida" (later seventies and early eighties) in Madrid. Many portraits of friends, most of then already death due to the drugs, selfportraits and "street photographies". He was an amateur photographer from 1976 to 1986, when he became a professional photographer. Actually, he uses Leica M cameras. He is a really great artist.

Isabel Muñoz is a gentler character. She is a nice woman looking for people of different cultures. She says to be looking for beauty even where the tragedy and pain reign. She has experimented with new types of prints, like the platinotype from gigantic negatives on watercolor paper. You can see it in the "making off" video from her exhibition (this is an exclusive for Leica Forum members, althought it was made public in another Spanish forum thanks to the author of the video, gpunto):

I will try to bring here some information about other Spanish artists. I think we are witnessing a kind of "golden age" in the Spanish photography.
