Whenever the situation calls for it; night scenes, small aperture scenics etc. I cut my teeth on a Pentax 67 medium format camera where hand-holding isn't really an option so using a tripod is second-nature. I've never quite understood the stigma that appears to surround not using a tripod with an M. Is it a mild form of bravura?
