Circling back on my earlier post about the Bang & Olufsen ad... Try going to
FT.com / How to Spend it - digital edition and look at pages 14-15 of the August, 2008 edition. This ad conveys meaning to the subconscious mind without the need for additional words.
If you can't see the ad, it is a full-page ad of a very ripe banana. The end of the banana appears to be viewed through a Bang & Olufsen television, and for that part of the banana it is "typical" yellow rather than yellow with ripe spots.
To biglouis' point, I think this was about the quality of the message from Leica to market their product (rather than banner ads on this website).
