Rolo, it is an artist’s cooperative in Soho on Mercer Street. There aren't many left. A VERY expensive part of town that was once the center of art in NYC. Too much Wall Street money came into SOHO, raised the rent and now most of the stores are high end nationals or experimental retail stores funded by them. Lots of expensive restaurants with marginal food for tourists. Still some old time shops, pubs & artists of all regards linger & thrive alongside the Galleries on W Broadway, Greene & Mercer. Many galleries that moved to Chelsea are coming back. The art work is really a F**k Y** to the Straight crowd that has changed so many people's lives there. The rich want to buy their way into a Bohemia they now nothing about.
Anyway, thanks for looking & commenting. This art has a half-life of about 3 days, but when we get you here, there's plenty more in secret hideaways to explore. All the best Professor.
