It might be a naive question but how and why do you justify spending the money on the leica over a canon... Trying to make a decision on what to go for...

I've looked into it quite a bit and can find a used digilux 3 in mint condition for around 650 pounds...

But with 650 I could get a 400d with 2 lenses and some other accessories in a package.

I want something that I'm going to keep for a long time... and Im an amateur to say the least. For whatever reason Im drawn to the leica but trying to justify it over something else...

Help?
