Re: unloading sharks
First and third seem washed out. Shooting manual or automatic? Its an effect I see quite a bit with my stuff out of SE Asia. Also, while the top end highlights all the images are at their limits, there is very little definition in the dark areas. I have the same lens, coded 35ASPH and I find it a bit of a trial in harsh contrasty light. It seems, or I seem to be able to handle an even lit scene, even blinding light noon day, but working round shadows is a bit of a no no. Ive only been shooting 100 iso film when using colour, for the past year, and I am just not sure about the M8 in my lighting environments. If I forked for the m8 I think I would be out buying Summicrons or Elmarits. Anyway, for the moment I will hang in with the film thing. Which can still be a struggle with the ASPH Summilux.
Interesting place you travelled to though. We get to see a lot more of it i hope?
