We flew down from Glasgow on the same plane, and ended up strap-hanging our way around Heathrow on a bus to arrivals. Really nice bloke, no airs and graces, chatty and amiable.
All too often we form opinions of actors and performers based on seeing a fraction of their lives, during which, for the most part, they are pretending to be someone else. "Go figure", as our colonial cousins would say.

He is a personal friend and, you are right, along with his wife, one of the nicest and most down to earth people I know... He is a very talented photographer and I was so impressed by a project he did last year that I've trying to convince him to showcase it... I hope one day he can share with everyone the work I've seen, but due to my respect for his privacy, I will not disclose additional facts.
Cheers,
