Jim: Ditto on the used M6 as a good "stopgap" option. I picked up a "used" M6TTL (instead of an MP or M7) to be a "backup" for my M8 and haven't regretted it. Very affordable used (by Leica pricing standards) and a joy to use. Of note, the direction of turn for the speed dial and the >*< LEDs in the viewfinder are the same as on the M8, which helps when switching back and forth between the two. Thanks, Will.
