Check your fastest speeds, 1/1000s etc. If your camera is 4 years old, and it sat on the shelf for two years before you bought it, and you've never used 1/1000s then it will need exercise.
Mine failed after 18 months and was fixed under warranty by Leica. It will last a lifetime with just a little care and it will take a lot of abuse if it's used regularly.
Put a film through and if all is OK, just send it on. I'm waiting.
