No, I am going to use a chrome Elmar-M 50/2.8 hood. Now I think this may vignette on film on my IIF but should be fine on an M8. For film, I will probably use a rubber B+W hood. The main purpose of this exercise is to be able to fit a UV/IR filter on the Summitar for use on the M8. I am looking for a gentler lens for portraits. The 50 ASPH Summilux is a touch on the hard/contrasty side for this purpose. The 75 Summarit is better but at an EFOV of 100mm on the M8, a bit on the long side. I will let you know how I get on. DAG has to find an old but good condition Summitar filter ring first.
