David, the proposed rules are in post #30, above. Any member of the Forum may post up to 3 pictures. If posted, they will be included in the book. One poster already plans to swap a new image for one of the 3 already posted.
My only requirement is to have a model release in my hands for every portrait. A copy of the release with all the necessary info on it will suffice; that is, the photog should retain the original release, naturally.
Following the deadline of May 18th, I will compile a list of pix and their owners and get in touch will all to confirm my understanding of every person's specific images.
For example, each page can be customized. I plan to print my 3 images, which are horizontal, as full bleed. That is, the image will fill the page and there will be no border. If someone wants an image printed smaller than the page, I thought a small black border (frame) would be appropriate with a white, gray, or black background. If you look at blurb.com, you can see what the choices are for pages. Your pic, your choice of format for the image.
I propose a book where all the images are on the right page and the image name on the left, with all details in an appendix. Photog's can choose any language that will print in the alphabet used here, with special characters as appropriate as long as they can be printed easily by Blurb. A translation can appear with the title or in the appendix. If poetry or the like is desired on the "name" page, go for it.
So, each photographer's pair of pages should suit him/her. I opt for a simple presentation, using Times New Roman type face, 12-pitch, black on white, and little text on the left page, which will be numbered. No number will appear on the image page (right side).
I will prepare a preliminary order and reveal that to all (shazam!). We'll resolve any complaints about order then. Geez, wait'll we get to the cover!

It may be that each photog can please her/his order separately -- thereby getting an individual cover.
So, I am not the editor but the compiler, organizer, actuator. If you post an M8 pic in the thread referred to in post #1, you can be in the book. I intend to brag about this, but it's your book.
I have chosen a horizontal format. If people want a vertical format, a book like that can also be compiled. You'll buy as many as you like, with no obligations. Later, if you want more, that's easily done, too.
I will require a model release in my hands for portraits. I'll solicit this from the posters; examples of two releases are also above.
Rules suck.
