Actually the SNHOO
screws into the Summitar, but yes, it does allow one to use the more common 39mm filters and screw-in hoods.
The trick is to find a SNHOO. Rather uncommon.
I'm glad to hear that the Summitar is able to collapse in to the M8, too!
