thank you all.

actually, i never sharpened any photo, it's just the low-res and scanning issue.
i have learnt a lesson: do not crop from 100% view of a low-res scan.

if i get a high-res photo, i would definitely crop out the over-exposed area and also the bit of the bottom of the construction-worker photo.

with this roll, i was trying to concentrate on composition and contrast, and examine the results of my new camera.
