Re: Anyone use a Luigi case for their Leica?
There are leather cases and then there are the Luigi cases. I now own three Luigi cases ( a full case model and a half cut for my MPs, and I just received two days ago a half cut case for the M8 with built-in handgrip), all with Luigi's leather straps. The quality of the leather, the attention to detail, the craftsmanship and Luigi's customer service are just a luxury that one does not find very often anymore. The feeling and softness of the strap around your neck or your hand is addictive and one more reason to take the camera with you wherever you go. The full case model is perfect, as it allows you to remove the top in case you do not need the full protection, and becomes a half cut case. Think of it as a convertible car with the top down. The built-in hand grip is very comfortable and provides you with a very firm grip. The fit is perfect on both my MP and M8 models. The colors are simply beautiful; careful though, they're addictive. Once you get one, you'll want another one as well. Last but not least, Luigi's responsiveness is second to none - the perfect service from a passionate man. I think of his website as a homemade art gallery where Luigi introduces the visitor to his work, but also to his beautiful family. After browsing the site, you send him an e-mail with your needs and he will reply promptly with payment instructions, or you can visit his eBay store.
