Interesting - and broadly what I expected after what you said about leaving the M8 to "cool" in a parked car (which unless you left with the windows wide open would take a while to reach ambient temperature) and carrying it some of the time under a parka.
Does anyone know for sure why the temperature is recorded in the makernotes? I guess one reason is so that if an image from extreme conditions shows problems, Leica can say "Sorry, you were outside the temperature range we support, better luck next time." But do RAW processors factor the temperature into their calculations?
