If you add a decent on live view focusing mechanism to the M9 or at last a working and acceptable electronic viewfinder, the M system could be fully compatible with the R system, making the latter obsolete. It is all about focusing. If you can get rid of the mirror box and even the rangefinder and replace it with live view, you are right on. Yes, the quality of live view is not great right now, but the first SLR was also crap. No more mirror slap, no more retrofocus designs, no more tele limitation for M users. A simple distancer from M to R mount would do the trick quite like R to 4/3 just better.
