The overall results are, thankfully, more complex than that. Please don't throw me in the fire like that. <G> That said, those tests were very rigorous and I was amazed at how well that little CV did. However, it's really more of a 36 mm so on tests like that the slight magnification difference may have been important.
However, *each* lens in that test had its pros and cons and the Summarit performed very well. I liked the lens very much and would happily use it for my own work.
I am emphatically against the "Superbowl" approach to camera and lens testing (one champion, fans, etc.). *Every* lens has its own pros and cons and its own ways of drawing. My job is to try to describe what those are, not to rank lenses or over-simplify how they compare to each other.
