Ian, I like your question...
And my answer is it's definitely NOT ALLOWED : horrid combo... I DISLIKE black bodies... my only one is a Leica CL: even my nice Summilux 35 chrome is disgusting on it !!!. I I tried unsuccesfully to have chromed the CL... now I'm looking for someone who can GOLD-plate it...seems it can be done, but wouldn't do it if I cannot have the same finishing on Summicron C 40 and Elmar C 90... and this seems more difficult....
