Hi Richard:
I am referring to this link:

The Bald Eagle shot was made in Croton Point State Park, off Route 9 in Westchester, last February.
In the other threads "hot links" in the exchange with Gerard, the tiny island is in the middle of the Tarrytown reservoir and the frozen spray shots were near the Scarborough Metro North station in Briarcliff Manor. The dead trees on the island have fallen down, so that shot is gone...
There is also a Great Blue Heron rookery just off the northern end of the Taconic parkway, 2 miles south of the Claverack exit, on the right hand side of (east of) the parkway, northbound, in the middle of a largish pond on top of dead trees. It is easily visible from the parkway. I'll try to get around to posting a few of last year's breeding season shots on the forum. The birds are sitting on the nests right now and the eggs should hatch in a week or two!
Go out and enjoy!
Guy
