I'd recommend you to call the CS @ Leica Solms and ask if you can ship the lens directly to them:
Leica Camera AG - Service - Headquarters Germany. This may accelerate the process for you. If you're a pro, preferably ask for ms. Frankl. They're very nice, just a little bit busy right now because a lot of folks want 6-bit upgrades for their lenses.
