I love my M6 a bit like a step child. It clearly is not the one, I wanted or planned, as it should have been a black one.

It definitely is the one, that hooked me into Leica and rangefinder cameras and changed, how I see the world with a camera.

I probably will not sell it either, as I a sentimental guy and it is the first Leica (and actually a silver chrome beauty at that).

I wrote a bit about it here on my website.

I am always on the lookout for a nice black sample.

Nice website.

I'm lucky enough to have three M6's, but this is my favorite!

I love mine, too. Unfortunately, I never shoot film anymore, so I am selling this mint, unused platinum M6/50mm Summilux for the same price I paid for it 23 years ago. If you're interested, it will be in the classifieds for two more days only.

Did you sell it? How much?

Here's mine.

I'm new to Leica, and enjoying it all.

Searched for a good classic M6 ( I prefer chrome), and 3 months search for a good collapsible Summicron.

Lovely camera, lovely lens. Nice balance and heft.

cheers all, David S :)

PS I also love the Barnack jewels, particularly my IIIf.

Hey Everyone! My name is Thomas Laberge Briere and I am a 22 year old photographer from Montreal, Canada. I work at Camtec Photo here in Montreal (also known as Leica Boutique). Here's my new M6, I should be posting a couple of shots in the next days :) Cheers!

Welcome to the forum Thomas. You will love that M6, forever!

O.T., I notice an alternate Cyan & Red colour cast in stripes of light on your posted image. Is that caused by the environmental lighting, or was there a problem with the processing of the film, or maybe the scan? Just thought I would draw your attention to it as you won't want it to become an issue with colour work in the future.

Thanks for the greetings and note Erl :)

The picture was taken quickly with one of my digital cameras and the cyan/red tones were only due to the light and colors coming from the window, I didn't really pay attention to it! It's something I usually would've corrected but I was too anxious to post my new toy on the forum ;)

Here's what I've done to my beauty, Bubbles. At the top is a photo found on the Internet of an untreated M6.
