Your f/ stop argument is without merit. There is total control of the exposure. Lenses and shutter speed give you 1/2 stop then you have a menu item that gives you 1/3 stops up and down. 1/3 of 1/2 is 1/6, what more control do you want.
Other then that I really don't see any point to your post. Try going out and taking some pictures.
