Paul, Bob, Stuart,

Thank you for your interest, feedback, and questions. Here we go.

K-H,

A breathtaking picture from the standpoint of the climbers on top. (I know, there must be some access with the railing on the peak). I would prefer standing where you are.

Paul

Yup, there sure is.

Karl-Heinz,

That looks like a Basalt formation, where is that located? Nice photo, also. That lens is really making me think.

Overlook Park, White Rock, NM. The lens is my favorite for birding.

K-H -

Very nice. Sure they didn't just drive up the other side to near the top?

Yup, they sure did drive up.

Here is a map of the place.

I took the climbing picture from the end of Buckman Rd at the east side of the Rio Grande.

The rock formation is located within a couple minutes walk from the end loop of Overlook Rd, west of the Rio Grande.

It takes about 1.5 hours of driving to get from one place to the other.

The following picture shows the view from the Overlook Point across the Rio Grande towards Buckman Rapids, Road, and Mesa.

Way in the distance to the left is Black Mesa.

Looking in the opposite direction one can recognize the light posts of the Overlook Sports Complex.
