flew off to tokyo two days ago, took the M9 out of the backpack today to clean the sensor...sensor (filter) cracked on top left corner. useless piece of junk. off to yodobashi to buy a fuji X1Pro.

Today I just check my shots and realized that I now have a crack sensor . I got my M9 in Oct 09 #3810XXX. Will be sending my m9 back to NY for a replacement sensor. I know that I haven't dropped my M9 and always carry it in a protected case when traveling. I hope Leica will stand behind this and replace at no charge.

where is the crack in your sensor?

Mine is in the upper left hand corner when look at sensor, lower left hand looking at image. Saw it last month thought it hair.
