Default Gawthorpe Hall, Lancashire

Another shot from this afternoon. I'm not too sure if this is really good enough to post because it's basically just a point and shoot image, but the light was very good, and the group of terminally non-intimidating hoodies who'd been sat on the front steps had just left - and taken their empty cans of lager with them. They're very civilised in this part of the world :-)

The house - Elizabethan - was closed, but entry to the grounds was free - perhaps a first for a National Trust property!

I've always imagined that Lord Barton of Barton lives in a pile lilke this.
